Prepare for your test

Tests are conducted on demand in line with applications received, or the needs of the relevant business or government department. Due to rostering and staffing requirements, CPI tests can only be booked 5 or more weeks in advance, while some other test types can be booked up to 2 weeks prior. DKT online is now available

To select a test date, you will need to log in to your myNAATI account again. You will be invited (via email from ) to select a test date once your application is approved. You will receive an email once your application is processed (generally within a week). To apply for the CCL test, you will need to create an account in our customer portal, myNAATI, and submit your application from there. NAATI is not able to amend the expiry date of a credential that has already been issued.

If you don’t provide enough notice to change or cancel your test, you will lose the fee you have paid and will need to pay a new fee when you re-book. Once you pass the DKT you can apply for your learner driver licence. You can now complete the DKT at home or wherever you can get online. Where there is high local demand, we offer in-person Certified Provisional Interpreter tests as an alternative option. All online tests are scheduled and listed in Sydney/Melbourne time (AET), you should ensure you check how your time zone aligns with the time listed.

If you fail the test and receive a result that is 58 or higher you can apply for a review of your results. Offer must be redeemed within 14 days of the date on the redemption email to receive Device. These tests cost the same as a weekday driving test and can be booked, changed or cancelled in the same way as weekday tests.

Your driving examiner will discuss the results of your test at the testing centre at the end of your test. The length of the test will depend on the licence code you are applying for. Saturday tests are available to help reduce driving test wait times in areas of high demand.

This means that each test begins with 90 marks, and marks are taken off if the candidate makes errors during their test. To pass the CCL test, you must achieve a score of 63 or more, and at least 29 marks in each dialogue.
